XPENG deliveries hit an all-time monthly record: where the growth is really coming from

XPENG delivered more cars in October than in any month before, and more than a quarter of them went outside China. The new MONA L05 SUV and a robotaxi licence in Guangzhou round off a big month for the brand.

XPENG passed the 50,000 mark in monthly deliveries for the first time in October. The exact figure, announced by the company on November 1, is 50,237, up 22% on September and 20% on October 2025. The record itself is only half the story, though. What stands out is where those cars are going: a growing share now reaches customers outside China, Europe included.

A record that beats last year's best

Until now, XPENG's best month was also an October, the one in 2025, with 42,013 deliveries, according to figures compiled by "CnEVPost". The new peak tops it by more than 8,000 cars. Just as important, October puts the company back into year-on-year growth after a September in which deliveries dipped slightly.

Over the full year the picture is more mixed. In the first ten months XPENG delivered 334,604 vehicles, almost 6% fewer than in the same period of 2025. That gap is narrowing month by month, and founder He Xiaopeng has previously said the target for the fourth quarter is more than 60,000 sales a month.

Overseas sales keep the pace

The international side is growing fastest. XPENG delivered 13,326 cars outside China in October, its best month yet abroad and almost three times last year's level (+166%). "CnEVPost" calculates that overseas deliveries made up about 26.5% of the total, up from roughly 24% in September. At home, XPENG handed over around 36,900 cars, its strongest domestic result in a year.

The Chinese-language release on XPENG's official website adds a detail about the large GX SUV: it has collected close to 4,000 orders in the Middle East even though regional pricing has not been announced yet.

MONA L05, the next volume bet

October also brought a new model. The MONA L05 is a five-seat SUV, the third member of the MONA family, offered both as a pure EV and with a range extender. XPENG says the first 5,000 units available for quick delivery sold out within three minutes of launch, and nationwide deliveries in China started on November 1. According to "CnEVPost", international shipments began on October 26, with plans to sell the car in 65 countries and regions. The MONA line has passed 360,000 cumulative deliveries in two years.

In Europe, the smaller MONA L03 is already reaching customers: we covered the first deliveries here.

Robotaxi and charging

On October 26, XPENG received a demonstration operating licence for Level 4 robotaxi services in Guangzhou, which lets it move from technical testing to real rides with the public under supervision. We wrote about the robotaxi's name and its first test rides here. The official release also says the company ran more than 4,100 of its own charging stations in China at the end of October, most of them ultra-fast.

What it means for drivers

For European drivers, these numbers matter for three reasons. First, a carmaker growing this fast outside China has every reason to strengthen its dealer and service network in Europe, which should mean easier access to parts and support. Second, a new volume model planned from the start for 65 markets has a good chance of reaching European showrooms, widening the choice of mid-size electric SUVs. Third, competition among Chinese brands keeps pressure on prices, and that shows up in real-world offers.

On the Mașina Timpului channel we have already tested the XPENG G6 on regular roads, with real-world consumption and fast charging. The full test is in our G6 Performance article.

In short:

  • An all-time monthly record for XPENG, above the 50,000 mark.
  • More than a quarter of its cars went outside China.
  • The MONA L05 has entered deliveries and is heading to 65 markets.
  • A Level 4 robotaxi licence in Guangzhou.
